Nadia Nazarova — experience

Portrait of Nadia Nazarova in a black blazer against a moulded wall

I spent 15+ years in product marketing across different roles before moving into product management.

Today I am Head of Product at an all-in-one pharmaceutical software company, where I lead three product teams building new products for marketers from the ground up and developing an existing product portfolio.

I also established and now lead the product marketing department across all areas of the company — connecting product strategy, market positioning, customer education and go-to-market execution into one company-wide growth system.

Before that I led product at SplitMetrics, N.Rich and Semrush: business units with their own P&L, teams of twenty-plus, and products that had to win in crowded categories against well-funded incumbents.

    All-in-one pharmaceutical software (NDA)

    Head of Product

3 product teams · Product Owners & marketing professionals · Enterprise + SME

Leading three product teams building new products from the ground up, and the company-wide product marketing function.

A software platform for licensed pharmaceutical sellers in the U.S. market. The product includes a payment gateway, cash register, POS system, marketing module and e-commerce module, serving enterprise and SME clients.

    • Established a clear, measurable product vision aligned with company objectives, so every product team moves toward shared goals.

    • Built collaboration processes between product and client-facing teams — the alignment proved so effective that part of those teams was later moved under my management.

    • Managed and prioritised the product backlog to maximise business impact, ensuring timely delivery of high-value features.

    • Applied analytics, market insights and A/B testing to prioritise initiatives, increase conversions and strengthen commercial outcomes.

    • Led integrations with external partners (SMS and email products), payment providers and data providers — improving system performance and compliance.

    • Manage and mentor a team of Product Owners and marketing professionals, driving accountability, autonomy and continuous growth across all product streams.

  2. November 2021 — March 2023

    Head of Product · SplitMetrics

Optimize BU · 20+ people · P&L ownership for core and new products · Org design, hiring, promotion

Owned the Optimize business unit — strategy, P&L and a team of 20+ — inside an ecosystem for mobile apps and games.

SplitMetrics is an ecosystem of products for mobile apps and games: A/B testing, ASO, user acquisition and mobile app growth.

    • Created and implemented a new product strategy targeting 10× revenue growth in three years — delivered to 72% of plan through the turbulence of 2022 and the 2023 OpenAI shift. It grew market share and brought in upper-market clients such as Disney and Netflix.

    • Released an MVP for a new product to validate the strategic approach.

    • Led implementation of a new ML algorithm that cut client A/B testing costs by up to 8×, increasing market share, attracting new customers and improving retention of existing ones.

    • Launched a new product MVP two weeks after Apple's major platform update, validating the product vision and lifting user retention by 15%.

    • Improved processes inside the product department and across departments, increasing release frequency and improving time-to-market.

    • Restructured the product management department and implemented Agile and Scrum.

    • Built the product release support process from the marketing side from scratch; mentored and trained product managers and product marketers.

  3. October 2020 — October 2021

    Head of Product · N.Rich

    Strategy · Roadmapping · Prioritisation · UX/UI drafts through release · Hiring

Product strategy, roadmap and delivery for an intent data and ABM platform across US and European markets.

N.Rich is an intent data and account-based marketing platform focused on US and European markets — B2B SaaS and B2B enterprise products.

    • Created a new product strategy the company still follows, growing market share and tripling revenue within a year.

    • Got the company into Gartner Magic Quadrant research, unlocking a new segment of tier-1 enterprise clients.

    • Launched a new Intent Data product that earned $1M+ in revenue within its first six months.

    • Streamlined design team collaboration, significantly reducing time-to-market for new features.

    • Hired a product manager and a marketing manager — one of whom grew into CMO and is still with the company.

  4. August 2016 — September 2020

    Product Owner · Semrush

Social Media toolkit → Competitive Intelligence toolkit · Cross-functional Scrum teams

Led strategy and development for several toolkits inside a SaaS platform used by 10,000,000 digital marketers.

Semrush Holdings, Inc. is an American public company offering a SaaS platform used by 10,000,000 digital marketers worldwide across B2C and B2B segments. I started with the Social Media Analytics tool, released two more tools and grew the whole toolkit, then joined the Competitive Intelligence & Market Research unit and grew it to sustainable growth.

    • Grew Social Media Analytics retention to 70% — the highest retention rate of any tool in the toolkit.

    • Created a new strategy for the SMM toolkit and released two more tools, Social Media Poster and Social Media Advertising, diversifying company risk and increasing paid users; time spent in product rose 6%.

    • Built an analytical reports system for SMM users, increasing time spent by 21%.

    • Created a new product strategy for the CI toolkit that drove up to 30% MoM MRR growth and sustained it.

    • Grew the CI toolkit's share of company MRR to 3% within 1.5 years, and from 0 to 7,000+ users.

    • Acted as team leader supporting the implementation of Scrum in cross-functional development teams, increasing transparency and predictability of delivery.

    • Implemented a new data science model in the CI Traffic Analytics tool, improving data accuracy and creating a significant competitive edge.

    • Covered the full product management remit: customer and opinion-leader interviews, stakeholder communication, market and customer research, hypothesis generation, prioritisation and A/B testing.

Outside the roadmap

I do ballet, practice yoga, paint, ride horses, drink a lot of coffee, and read psychology and business books. These things keep my head clear, and help me balance work, family, and other parts of life.

I also teach and speak: global product and marketing conferences, podcasts, university faculties and a venture fund’s startup portfolio — the places where I put the frameworks in front of an audience that will argue with them.
